Different Dives, Different Splashes

Welcome to our In the Know topics for the month of June, Splashes. You may wish to take a look at other grade spans and recommend articles to students who are below or above their grade’s reading level.

Grades 2-3 students learn that when displaced water rushes back to fill a hole, a splash forms. A Spanish translation to the article may be found here.

Grades 4-5 students learn that a rip entry dive is executed by entering the water so quickly, and so vertically, that there is hardly any splash. A Spanish translation to the article may be found here.
